This was a question posed on one of the Facebook groups recently and from the answers received, (which is par for the course), people lump all developers as being bad because they may have had a bad experience with one, or they know of or heard of somebody having a bad experience.
The country has developments all over, and while places like Sanctuary Belize, or The Reserve, or whatever you want to call it, give developments a bad name, not all places are like that.
You as the buyer owe it to yourself to do your own due diligence. Putting a question on facebook is one part of that due diligence but know this – people who answer often have experience with one development/developer. If you are getting multiple answers on multiple developments then there may be a time to question your decision about a development.
Go to Google and research the heck out of the developer, reach out to other owners in the development you are interested in and get their firsthand experience. Responses such as “few and far between” are just not completely accurate.
As a couple of people in that thread answered with names of some that are on the up and up it is plain to see that not all fall into the disreputable category.
