Vanilla Bean Inn came about as a result of watching an episode or two of “Golden Girls”. I didn’t watch the show very often however the concept must have stuck in my mind. Years later a couple of friends and I were talking and I mentioned my concept to them and Golden Girls, now known as Vanilla Bean Inn came to be more than a concept.
The Concept
Forward a couple more years and we now have proof of concept. From watching the show where 4 women have their own living spaces yet share a common to the idea of having a certain demographic of individuals who have their own living spaces sharing a common area and we have what we now call Vanilla Bean Inn.
Each unit, or condo, is perfect for a “Golden Girl”, at least that was the initial intent. Older women, (or men) widowed or divorced, who want to have an investment property or downsize, was the original demographic. The condos are studio style with space for a queen-sized bed, a seating area, breakfast bar and lots of counter/cupboard space. There’s a full-sized closet in the 3-piece bathroom.
Vanilla Bean Inn is Perfect
Vanilla Bean Inn is a perfect space. Each unit has both a front and back porch to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. This is the “individual” space enjoyed by each of the owners.
The outside has been set up as the common area for when owners or renters want to socialize. The gardens are being installed all around the pool, the buildings and the fencing areas. These gardens will contain plants that are either medicinal or edible or both. And a booklet outlining the properties of the various plants is being put together, so owners know what is on the grounds and their effects/purpose. There is a 10*20*5 foot lounging salt-water pool which has already been completed and is ready to be enjoyed now. Work will begin on the outside BBQ “dining” area in the next few months. When this is done the pathways, and the rest of the gardens can be installed.
Private space inside. Socializing space outside. Entry level pricing.
